I took these out on a long gravel ride over my favorite bibs and the lightweight fabric kept me cool even on the climbs. The lack of a pad actually worked perfectly for layering.

The fabric on these is seriously impressive for the weight—feels substantial but breathes well on long climbs. I've worn them over my liner on back-to-back gravel days and they've held up without any chafing or bunching.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well these shorts breathe on long rides—even in the heat, I never felt clammy. The waistband sits flat and doesn’t dig in when I’m leaning forward on the bike. They’re exactly what I needed for layering over my padded liners.
