Débutant presque au seuil du siège de Café du Cycliste, il s'élève abruptement pour sortir de la ville, longeant les villas et les palmiers. La route serpente ensuite à travers les collines jusqu'à atteindre 507 mètres d'altitude, avec pour récompense une vue imprenable sur la Méditerranée.
